…it seems like it’s taken forever for this 27 room designer hotel in Toronto to be finished. and now it looks like they are finally ready to take guests. They are accepting bookings for their hyper-designed rooms starting MAY 15! Rates start at $395 CAD per night. Expectations are high my friends… ;) http://www.designhotels.com/hotels/americas/canada/toronto/templar_hotel

Snack Box
in NYC is genius… Now you can get a good coffee, a lobster roll AND Doughnut Plant doughnut all in one place! Mind you it’s in Times Square but it’s still worth a side trip methinks. the “box” itself was designed by Montreal based MUVBox, so there’s a Canuck connection as well. ;) no website, but it’s located on Broadway btwn 45th and 46th. menu...

Fabarnak
is quite the revelation. It’s probably Toronto’s best value lunch (a 4 course “square peg” box will set you back $10) and it’s most delicious. http://fabarnak.com/ image taken with instagram*

Fogo Island
Where? A remote island, soon to be artists enclave, off the coast of Newfoundland - that’s where. once the Inn (above) is opened it’s sure to be entered into my (and every other jetsetters) “it” list. read more about the project here: http://www.wallpaper.com/architecture/Interactive-plan-Fogo-Island-artists-studios-by-Saunders-Architecture/5732 more on Fogo:...

B.O.G. Hotel
Bogota, Colombia has a bad rap but those in the “know” know that now it’s a great urban destination with friendly peeps and great dining (at affordable prices). Until now however, the city did not have a place for the fabulous to stay. It does now. http://www.boghotel.com/

San Giorgio Mykonos, a Design Hotels Project
Wanna do your part to help the Greek Economy? After the less than stellar reception of their 1st design hotel “pop up” in Tulum (too pricey, unfinished, bad service) Design Hotels, I hope have learned a few things, and is now ready for round 2 - this time on the jet setter island of Mykonos. Opening May 11th, I suggest late May/early June as the best time to go unless you like...
