Bond Girls

my TOP 10 List.

In celebration of the release of the latest James Bond film and 2012 marking 50 years of the James Bond series, I’m throwing my own list of “Favourite” Bond Girls (nobody calls them women ok?) on top of every other fans favourites list. I like mine. (note this is in chronological order of the films).

Tatiana Romanova (From Russia with Love 1963) was the ultimate honeytrap. Outrageously beautiful and she did save Bond’s life in the end. SIGNATURE LINE: “Thank you, but I think my mouth is too big.”

Pussy Galore (Goldfinger 1964) everyone’s favourite Bond Girl name is still remembered to this day, her cold/hot pilot character was pretty ahead of the times back then. SIGNATURE LINE: “My name is Pussy Galore.”

Fiona Volpe (Thunderball 1965) was the 1st really BAAAAD Bond Girl. She loved fast cars and fast men and had no qualms in ordering someones death. ouch! SIGNATURE LINE: “Some men just don’t like to be driven.”

Aki (You Only Live Twice 1967) saved Bond’s life not once, not twice but 3 TIMES! The last one also took her life. A top ranked Japanese agent she was also a ninja even thou she dies before we get to see that action. SIGNATURE LINE: “I think I will enjoy very much serving under you.”

Solitaire (Live and Let Die 1973) Jane Seymour was STUNNING. What was her character again? SIGNATURE LINE: “I know who you are, what you are, and why you’ve come. You have made a mistake. You will not succeed.”

Anya Amasova (The Spy Who Loved Me 1977) her codename is Agent XXX. I mean come on… That and Barbara Bach looked really great when wet. SIGNATURE LINE: “I have never failed on a mission, Commander. Any mission”

Dr. Holly Goodhead (Moonraker 1979) Lois Chiles ties with Denise Richards for the worst acted Bond Girl (pretty face, wooden as a plank) and she suffered one of the worst names ever but she benefited from being the “smartest” one. She was a Doctor, a kung fu CIA agent AND an astronaut! SINGATURE LINE: “Take me ‘round the world one more time”

May Day (A View to a Kill 1985) it’s Grace Fucking Jones. SIGNATURE LINE: I don’t think she had one, she didn’t have too many lines…?

Xenia Onatopp (Goldeneye 1985) the only Bond Girl I remember from the Brosnan years. And Famke Janssen rocked that role - Badass! SINGATURE LINE: “This time, Mr. Bond, the pleasure will be all mine”

P.S. Y’all are probably wondering where Honey Ryder/Ursula Andress is right? Well she’s number one on every other bloody list and frankly other than the fact she was the 1st, her character/acting wasn’t all that great. I will give her that bathing suit - so that alone makes her number 10 ok - see iconic image below. :-)
